I know what you mean, Photoshop, in my opinion, has one of the best working environments out there. You hit the nail on the head when you said about thinking like Photoshop, try not to and I’m sure life will be easier. I’ve found these great for explaining the interface workings. I made the mistake of trying to understand everything, but you have to walk the mile one small step at a time then look back to see how far you’ve gone.Ī friend has loaned me his copies of the VTC videos on CD. Veiws for example - you can have the four basic views, and add more if you want, but there is nothing stopping you using just one, or even two, the choice is yours. You can tailor it to how you want to work or how comfortable you feel. In a way it gives you too many options, but you don’t have to use them just because they exist. I suppose it could be regarded as a cirticism of Cinema but its not really - the program and its interface is too flexible. Yes, the interface can seem very muddled at first, but once you get into working it makes sense. I’m fairly new to the program myself but not to 3D. I know what you mean, Photoshop, in my opinion, has one of the best working environments out there, but as somebody has already said, this is 3D and a whole different ball game.
